Salmon fishing in southern Oregon is a popular pastime for both locals and visitors. The region is home to several species of salmon, including Chinook, coho, and steelhead.

Fishing for salmon in southern Oregon can be done from the shore or from a boat. Many anglers prefer to fish from a boat because it allows them to access more remote areas and to fish in deeper water. This is where our guide service comes in. We know the area well, with years of experience and fins the fish, wherever they may be. Right along with that, we'll be bringing you to some of the most pristine and beautiful remote areas for an outdoor and often wilderness adventure.

When fishing for salmon in southern Oregon, it is important to follow all state and federal regulations. This includes having a valid fishing license and following daily bag and size limits.

The best time to fish for salmon in southern Oregon depends on the species you are targeting. Chinook salmon, also known as king salmon, are typically found in the region from April to October. Coho salmon, also known as silver salmon, are typically found from August to October. Steelhead, which are a type of rainbow trout, are typically found from November to April. See our chart below for more details.

The most effective techniques for catching salmon in southern Oregon vary depending on the time of year and the species you are targeting. In the spring and early summer, when Chinook salmon are spawning, many anglers use techniques such as drift fishing or bobber fishing with bait to catch them. In the late summer and fall, when coho and steelhead are more active, many anglers use lures or flies to entice them to bite.

Overall, salmon fishing in southern Oregon offers anglers the opportunity to catch a variety of species in a beautiful and scenic region. With its abundant fisheries and picturesque landscapes, southern Oregon is a great destination for salmon fishing enthusiasts.
